How selling to us works
Live market pricing, a grade you agree to before you ship, and no surprises at payout. Here's the whole process, the grading scale we use, and the terms in plain English.
The process, start to finish
Five steps. Most people finish the first three in under ten minutes.
Search by name for a quick estimate, or snap a photo and we'll identify it for you. Pick the exact printing — set, number, and foil all change the price.
We pull the current market price for that exact card and condition, then apply our posted rate. Cash or store credit — credit always pays more.
Add a photo of each card. We grade it from your photo and you either agree or set your own grade — your call, but it's on record either way.
Print the label and packing slip from your confirmation. Sleeve every card, pad the package, and send it with tracking.
We inspect within two business days of arrival. Grades match? You're paid. Something's off? We contact you first — nothing moves without your OK.
Bring your cards to the shop and we'll do the whole thing at the counter, cash in hand the same visit. No photos or forms needed in person.
The grading scale
We use the same five conditions the market prices in — the standard across TCGplayer and virtually every card shop. Anything better than Near Mint is territory for professional graders like PSA, BGS, or CGC, which is why there's no "Mint" tier here.
Flawless to the naked eye. Perfect corners, no surface marks anywhere, clean edges, well centered — genuinely uncommon straight out of a pack.
- Quoted at the Near Mint price — the open market doesn't price above NM without a professional grade
- Always verified by hand when it reaches us
- If it's truly Mint, grading it first (PSA/BGS/CGC) often returns more than selling it raw — ask and we'll tell you straight
Looks like it just came out of the pack. Unmarked surface, sharp corners, clean edges.
- At most a couple of tiny flaws you'd have to hunt for
- Slight edge wear or a faint scratch is still NM
- Foils: no visible clouding or bends
Light handling wear, but it still looks good and has no structural damage.
- Minor edge wear, light scuffs, small surface scratches
- Corners slightly soft rather than sharp
- Nothing severe, and not a high volume of flaws
Wear you notice immediately, but the card is still solid and playable in a sleeve.
- Border or edge whitening, obvious corner wear
- Visible scratching, scuffing, or light dirt
- Minor creasing that hasn't broken the card's surface
Major wear from real use. Still sleeve-playable, but it's been through a lot.
- Heavy whitening, rounded corners, deep scratches
- Creases, bends, or water exposure
- Several moderate flaws stacked together
Anything beyond Heavily Played. We still buy plenty of these — just at damaged pricing.
- Tears, holes, folds, or missing pieces
- Heavy creasing, warping, or water damage
- Writing, stamps, or stickers on the card
Already professionally graded and sealed in a case. This isn't a condition you assess — it's its own category, and it's quoted differently.
- Pick "Graded slab" instead of a condition, then choose the company and grade
- You'll see an estimated range straight away so you know roughly where the card sits
- Send photos of the front and back of the case, plus the grade label if you can
- A team member reviews it and emails you a firm quote, usually within one business day. The range is a ballpark; their number is the offer
- The slab has to be exactly as described — genuine, unaltered, not cracked or reholdered, and the card exactly as it was when graded
- Never crack a slab to sell it to us raw. Ask first — it's almost always worth less out of the case
How we price
No mystery formula. Your offer is the live market price for that exact card and condition, times our posted rate.
We pull current market data for the exact card you selected — right set, right collector number, right printing, right condition. Prices move daily, so the number you see is the number at that moment. Your offer is locked for 7 days from submission.
Store credit always pays a higher percentage than cash, because it comes back to the shop. You pick which one at checkout, and you can change your mind any time before you ship — just tell us when your package arrives.
Buylist terms & agreement
The full terms for selling cards to us. Submitting a buylist order means agreeing to these.
01 Your offer is an estimate until we inspect
Every quote is generated from the information and photos you provide — the card you selected, the condition you confirmed, and the images you uploaded. It is an offer to buy that card as described, not a guaranteed final payment.
When your package arrives, our team grades every card in hand. If our assessment matches what you submitted, we pay the quoted amount. If there's a variance, we contact you with a revised offer before any payout — we never quietly adjust and pay you less.
02 If we disagree on a grade
You'll get an email showing which cards we regraded, what we found, and the revised total. From there you have three choices, and you have 7 days to tell us which:
- Accept the revised offer and we pay immediately.
- Take a partial — we buy the cards you agree on and return the rest.
- Decline entirely and we ship everything back to you.
Return shipping on a declined order is on us for the first occurrence. If we don't hear from you within 7 days, we hold the package — we don't process a sale you haven't agreed to.
03 Shipping is your responsibility until it arrives
You pack and pay for shipping to us. We strongly recommend tracking on every package and insurance on anything over $100 — we can't pay for cards that never reach us, and a lost uninsured package is not recoverable for either of us.
Pack it properly: every card sleeved, valuable cards in a toploader or semi-rigid holder, the stack secured so it can't shift, and a rigid or well-padded outer mailer. Include your submission ID inside the package so we can match it to your quote.
04 What we can't buy
- Counterfeits and proxies. If we identify a fake, we won't buy it and we won't send it back — it gets destroyed. Submitting counterfeits knowingly ends the transaction and your buylist access.
- Altered cards — trimmed, recolored, resurfaced, re-backed, or artist-altered — unless we've agreed to it in advance in writing.
- Stolen property. By submitting, you confirm you are the lawful owner of every card and have the right to sell it.
- Cards below our minimum offer, which is posted on the sell page. Bulk lots are welcome, but ask us first.
05 Timing & payment
We inspect within two business days of your package arriving, and pay within two business days of you approving the final amount. Store credit is applied to your account immediately on approval.
Large submissions (roughly 100+ cards) can take longer to grade, and we'll tell you up front if that's the case rather than leaving you waiting.
06 Photos, data, and the automated grade
The photos you upload are used to identify your cards, assess condition, and document what you sent us. We keep them attached to your submission as part of our transaction records. We don't sell your photos or your personal information — see our Privacy Policy.
Our condition assessment from your photos is an automated estimate, not a certified grade. It's a starting point to make quoting fast — it isn't a professional grading opinion, and our in-hand inspection is what determines the final offer.
07 Final sale & changes to these terms
Once you approve a final amount and we pay it, the sale is complete and the cards are ours. Approved sales can't be reversed.
We may update these terms, our rates, and our minimums at any time. The version in effect when you submitted your quote is the version that governs it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
